The Programme

The Tech Accelerator Programme is aimed at tackling the skills shortage within digital finance, an area Deutsche Bank is heavily committed to championing.

The initial training focuses on coding principles, agile working & digital transformation. You’ll learn the fundamentals of Software Engineering across the full stack. This includes creating web applications, building server-side programs with databases and deploying them using the latest technologies. This programme will place you at the forefront of digital transformation within Deutsche Bank, an opportunity not to be missed.

Training & The Role

The training programme is 12 weeks, fully funded by Deutsche Bank and powered by us here at _nology. Upon completion of your training, you will join their tech team as a Software Engineer! 

Being a Software Engineer is much more than just writing code. It needs creative, strategic problem solving and an understanding of how to deliver real value to your users. Our training programme aims to encourage your creative thinking, idea generation and collaboration, enabling you to work in a team to build the future of banking.

Training Content

We structure our learning around key areas of programming, including the following concepts:

Web Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

Frontend JavaScript Frameworks

Testing Strategy and Agile Projects

Server-side programming in Java

Modern cloud engineering practices

API and Database design

If you’re unfamiliar with these, don’t worry! The idea of the programme is to teach you how they work with one another to create great products.

During these 12 weeks, you will work full-time on a remote basis, via our state of the art Learning Management System. You will form an agile training team, learning by doing. We will spend time understanding how software products are built in different companies in different industries. This will allow you to be able to solve complex problems with simple solutions – focusing on adaptability in a software role.

Your team will become a tight-knit group over the fully immersive training period, before integrating into the wider tech department. By the end of the 12 weeks, we aim to bring everyone up to speed with this world leading technology function, bringing your new mindset to this era of change.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible to join the Tech Accelerator Programme, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be an existing employee of Deutsche Bank, currently working in a non-technical role within the Technology, Data and Innovation division
  • Available to attend 12 weeks of full-time training, starting late August (Date to be confirmed soon)
  • Seeking a role as a Software Engineer
